    Default 540 cooler mishap

Guess what happens when you connect the Gecko 540 cooler the wrong way round

You guessed it the smoke escaped

both the the fans melted and fell to pieces, hopefully it only require a couple of new fans from the PC shop
Will be checking out that tomorrow

I only turned it on to check the steppers out, that will have to wait a little longer

    Regards

    Warrick

    Hi Warrick,

Before you plug in the replacement fans ENSURE that there is 12V coming out of the regulator.

My guess is that the regulator is blown and there will be 48V being fed to the fans. If this is the case and you plug the new fans in, they will go up in smoke.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
