6040 CNC (800 Watt Spindle VFD Settings Problem)
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had the VFD settings for a
.8kw (watercooled) spindle? because I recently bought a 6040 cnc from china, i set everything up all fine, I wired everything with ease, I got the steppers working, mach 3 worked fine and even the spindle worked all good etc.
CNC 6040 ROUTER ENGRAVER DRILLING AND MILLING MACHINE | eBay
Spindle SpecsFrom Side of Spindle) GDZ-65-800, 220v, 800w, 5A, 400HZ, 24000RPM
I have a VFD HY01D523B, and it has a potentiometer built in (The speed is controlled directly by the knob), Once i plugged it in, it worked fine but it was holding at 11520rpm instead of the 24000rpm (I saw that other peoplehad the same problem with the 1.5kw, 2.2kw, 3kw spindle), i read up a little and realised that it had to do with the pole settings, or the fact that within my settings for the VFD that PD010 = 7.0 and PD144 = 1440. and these needed to be changed.
So i went about the first step resetting the VFD using PD013 = 8 (Factory reset) and thats where ive gone astray, Im pretty sure that there were further fine tuned settings for the Spindle and now its been factory reset, (Sadness of Hindsight) Now the spindle isnt working properly and its not even spinning half the time when i press run, it sounds like its spinning but the end collet/chuck is not and the potentiometer isnt working properly.
Has anybody dealt with model of spindle before or knows what settings is needed for this type of spindle, and if so let me know what settings i have to change, because ive read various kinds of manuals and all the comments in this thread, but it seems no one touched .8kw Spindles and i didnt want to try other settings for further problems.
I know there are a various PD000 - PD180 Codes and thats alot but im sure that only a few are vital for each different spindle and need to be changed from the factory settings.
Contacting the seller has been hopeless, because once they have the money they dont really care any more.
If anyone has any knowledge or can help me, would be greatly appreaciated.

Yeah i read that thread, but i was unsure because no one in the thread was talking about .8kw spindles and mainly 1.5kw spindles, and i dont really want to wing it with my limited knowledge and using settings based on a more powerful spindle. If it comes down to is i may have to, because i understand quite a few of the PD Codes and what they mean but since i dont come from a electrical background i dont want to risk it.

It is nothing to do with the spindles themselves. It is all about the VFD. Spindles are practically universal in the way the work. Well, up to about 2.2 Kw anyway.
