Just thought I would pass this on. I Just received notice of this recall.

    Date issued: 3 March 2015

    Identification

The recall covers models of 6040 CNC Router with either 800 W or 1.5k W water cooled spindle. Affected products have a beige / cream coloured metal box with a nearly square front face and include the following variants:

    800 W three axis router

    1500 W three axis router
    1500 W four axis router
These units were sold in Australia from 1 August 2014 to 4 February 2015.

    Safety issue

    Risk of electric shock

The plug and flexible lead on the router's controller box and submersible pump do not have appropriate insulation or a safety approval marking to indicate compliance with the relevant Australian electrical safety standard.

    Action required

Return the controller box, submersible pump and plug adapter to Bilby3D. The plug and lead on the controller box will be replaced. The submersible pump will be replaced with a fully compliant model. Please contact Bilby3D to make arrangements for the replacement items to be delivered.

Saw this a while back somewhere and noticed that the Chinese machines have vanished off the site. Highlights one of the pitfalls of importing and re-selling mains-powered gear.
