Default Carbide 3D Nomad 883 Pro - any experience?

I’ve stumbled on the opportunity to purchase a barely used Carbide 3D Nomad 883 Pro, just wondering if anyone had any experience using these machines and/or importing them in?

The seller says total cost to import from Carbide 3D is around AUD 4.5k which seems right - he is asking close to 4k with a whole heap of endmills which I’m hoping to whittle down to 3k or so. Does this seem like a reasonable price? Retail in Aus looks to be around the 5.5k mark but that seems stupidly high.

I’ve watched plenty of YouTube videos (Winston Moy etc) which seem to show the nomad’s capability, and from what I’ve seen it produces commendable hobby-level results in everything up to and including brass.

I’m halfway through building an openbuilds sphinx but have a hit a roadblock - I’ve recently moved house and have no garage or other space for a larger CNC with dust extraction etc so the nomad would be a perfect all-in-one desktop solution to cut my CNC teeth on.

My main concern is a complete lack of resale value in AUS if no one is interested in the product.

I read the marketing blurb for this unit. Looks very well built to me.
I suggest that if it suits the size of machine you want then it will be pretty good, pricing seems to reflect the choices of materials and components used to build it.

Power looks like a brick adapter, so a simple purchase of a new plug and you are likely good to go.
