have to laugh , i just received my , 6545 from hong kong , aluminium angles were bent , spindle cable dosnt fit , no Australian plug ,at least mine came with a water pump cable , tried emailing them , no answer , they held up the post untill the 6 week complaint ( paypal ) was over
powered it up , no hold torque on the steppers , instructions say , contact them , i did , no return email ( grab the money and run )
ill add a photo of the water pump cable ,
put a mutly meter on the wires and found that
1 is red 2 is blue , on the back of the controller plug with notch on top,1 red is left , 2 blue is right (looking from out side )
the Spindle cable , comes off at the spindle , so i was going to wire it up 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 , using a multi meter to match there wires , but the numbering on the plugs is different , clock wise from notch on spindle end is 1342 ,the original plug on the cord has 1 at the notch 342 set up ( they are wired 1-1 2-2 3-3 , with no connection on 4 , no earth ??/ ) , and the spare plug they supply ( clock wise from notch ) is 1234
!!!!! danger no earth on machine !!!!!!!
and no limit switches
the stepper motor wires are not shielded , properly why the spindle cable is not with them in cable chains ,

Urgh, it just keeps getting worse. That reminds me, I haven't given eBay feedback yet. So if we' both having problems, I wonder why they haven't had any other negative feedback?
Since I last posted, my gear has been with my BIL who is an electrician. he called early in the week to say it is ready to pick up, but he has a few concerns about whether the spindle polarity is correct since he couldn't start it up, the E-stop switch seems to be wired counter intuitively to him, but he doesn't know what signal the controller is looking for, and the fact there are live pins coming out of the controller.
I'll hopefully have it back this weekend.Pen Affair Craft Supplies - Cheapest Pearl Ex & Pemo Polymer Clay in Australia

i still believe i got a good deal , did some home work before i bought and knew about there dissapearing ways from there companys forum , i held back for 3 weeks before deciding bye one anyway ( the AU$1 went to US$1.10 )
there is no way i could purchase these items separately for the au$1200 , and mount them up with bearings , i think i got the last 4565 with 1.5kw spindle
i knew they didnt have limit switches
i figgered , with a bit of tinkering its a 1/2 decent machine , to build a bigger one with
now i just need some time to get it going , even if i have to change out the drive boards ,vdf , and add limit switches , it is still a bargain
personaly i think a CNC machine is not a "Plug And Play" machine ,if you never built it you wont be able to fix it
i left , neutral feed back , since i knew it was going to happen before i bought ,"with a bad comment "
"boomer " have you found the Mach3 setup info off there website yet ?

had a bit of time today so i took the lid off the control box for the first time
the stepper motors were not locking up when i power up the control box so i thought id have a look and see what i could find
first i disconnected the + lead to the stepper motor drive board and tested it , it came up 38vdc (looks good to me ) , so reconnected it
when it first powers up the motors lock up for a split second then relax again so i played with the switch while turning the motors by hand , and saw that the LEDs on the board all light up (in photo 1s and 2s ) , but a split second later the ones marked with a 2 turn off ,
so now i have to figger out how to make the LEDs marked "2" to stay on ,and my motors should work
ill edit this as i go along
under "input settings " emergency stop, (enabled , on ) = port 1 , pin 10 (active low = on) ' switch is wired up backwards witch is good , if the wire brakes , it triggers the stop, lol i used the AUTO input settings to find that one

there is a wire going between the brake out board and the spindle controller , the LED on the spindle controller turns off at the same time as the 4 on the motor controller , can you read what it says on the brake out board plug
sp11 , or "spindle" probably , mines covered in glue

got some movement on z axis , its pin 6 that activates the stepper motors
connected output pin 6 to the flood button , and all axis work a bit skippy but i managed to drive all axis full length and back , the motor tuning is way off ( there settings ) and had to drop the feed rates right down , but success , but now im out of time and have to leave it for the day SWMBO has found 101 things for me to do on my RDO

had another go at it today ( while hiding from SWMBO) and made some progress
sat there looking at the brake-out board , and was about to remove it find a part number and manufacture to find a schematic for it , when i decided to just type random numbers into the motor output page , lol , it was so quick it wasnt funny , 15min it took , it helped that the numbers were in order
so here they are
................step pin......Dir pin............dir/low..........step/low
Xaxis............. 4............. 5.............. TICK ............ TICK
Yaxis............. 2 ............ 3............... TICK............ TICK
Zaxis............. 6 ............. 7 ............. TICK............ TICK
feed rates off there documents work well
that operates the hand hearld USB driver , no 4th axis on that so will have to start up machlath tomorrow to find the 4th axis numbers (lol, i bet there 8&9)
more tomorrow
ps i have my y axis motor to the back , if yours is the other way round , un tick the direction / low box
