Sounds like a lot of stuff from China. Sent over assembled as a kit to prove it's all there, you then have to strip it down and reassemble it.
Glad you got it all sorted out in the end.

Which machine (other than the generic 3040) did you end up buying?
I ask as I'm thinking of getting one, but I'm fairly wary of such purchases (I just had a "china" purchase case a small fire this week)

It is a generic 30/40 with a USB control box and inbuilt 1,5kw VFD.

are you still happy with this? Would you recommend it?
Im getting an absolute crazy-load number of enquiries from people who want this done. I'm thinking of perhaps a 6040.

I am happy with mine (Now) but it was a problem at first.
Thankfully I had the knowledge and equipment to find the problem.
I found that the keyboard on my laptop filled with chips and dust so I bought a t100 convertible for use with the cnc .
Just use the tablet.
30/40 it small and I would have loved a 60/40 as it can do so much more but I did not have the room or finances.
Would I do it again...... Yes. I can cut most things I need on the little girl.
Gear
30/40 cnc with usb input, 800w water cooled spindle, Mach3 software for driving the cnc and Artcam express for design.
Next gear
Rotary 4th axis is on the distant wish list.
