Another CNC BBQ this Saturday 31st Jan
Just in case anyone is not aware we are having another of our regular CNC gatherings this Saturday.
Most will be aware of this as it has been promoted on the CNCzone,
http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63995
Here is a quote from the first page,
The next event will be at Nigels house. In the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne on Sat/Jan/31st/2009
It will be a BYO BBQ. Bring your machine, or items made with it, or pictures, or any item of interest.
There will be many door prizes, that have been generously donated by our sponsors, Vectric, Homann, Artsoft, Geckodrive, and Arnie.
I did a quick calculation and it easily comes to more than $2000 in prizes....Woo Hoo
So if you are interested in CNC or just want to see what we are on about, check out the thread on CNCzone for details and come along.

I travelled across for the last one and it is very well organised with heaps to see. The Melbourne guys are very welcoming and leaders in CNC construction and associated activity.
A must for anyone in Melbourne and well worth the trip for anyone else.
Unfortunately I can't make it this time as I have a wedding to go to so have a great day and I hope the good weather is with you.Cheers,
Rod

Unfortunately I can't get down to Melbourne for this one either. Last one was brilliant and ignited my CNC fire (still smouldering!).
Would recommend it to anyone vaguely interested in DIY CNC. As Rod says the Melbourne guys are very welcoming and very willing to share ideas and suggestions.
Can't wait to see the photos of the day.
Cheers,
