    Default CNC Components

    Hello CNC Forum,

I am wanting to build a cnc router approx size 1200x900.

Could you help me with info on recommended suppliers of components e.g. square linear rails, ball srcews, stepper motors and electronics etc.

I have contacted Item for prices on T Slot for the frame.

    Cheers....Kym

Hi Kym and welcome to the site.

There is a list of proven suppliers here.

That should be enough to get you started.

What sort of CNC machine are you building?

    Hi Kym,

Check out this thread for alternatives to Item profiles.

If you haven't already done so, spend a bit of time browsing this (CNC) forum. Lots of useful information from a lot of knowledgeable builders.

    Hi Bob,
    Thank you for your reply.
The build is a cnc router, combination of T Slot extrusion and steel or aluminium plate.
At this point I am basing the design similar to Blurry Customs machines.
Have seen some great builds on this forum which has given me alternative design ideas.

I am unable to open the link you supplied, I get this message:

That's a great list Bob, may I suggest it, (or something similar) be made sticky for newcomers browsing the CNC section? Or is there a CNC FAQ floating around with this kind of info?
