    Default CNC Laser Engraver

I recently brought a Redsail CNC Laser engraver. I'm very new to and in the use of this gear. I've done some lettering and engraved a few photos, but with my most recent the two rocks it has light and dark streaking (the photo does not have this). Can anyone advise why this has happened? Thanks Rod

I don't do photos or bitmaps. All my engraving is vector based.

Can't say for sure but I would be looking at the relationship of photo dpi and scan gap (might be called something different on your machine)

For a bit of an explanation, look at this link. Different controller but the principal is the same.

Well, there goes my theory about the lossy compression used in JPG making problems...
Hope you can get it sorted.
