    have you installed controller yet???
if you did ..which one??? or what are plans for the controller??
I'm researching the net for home build CNC's.. still trying to figure out what would be the budget...
carbatec sells nice shark plus router but it is a bit on a smallish side.. and is close to $6000
Your 1200 x 1200 bed really appeal to me as it is almost twice the size of the shark one...

    Default Woody is alive

Well I have finally got Woody going, he now moves on all three axises and the spindle powers up
I still need to tune him in mach 3 and get the spindle to operate from mach 3
There are a few other things to do like making a bracket for the spindle cable and mounting the z axis limit switch
But for now he is alive and kicking

I tried to upload a video but it didn't like it

    Regards

    Warrick

    Hi Warrick,
Hopefully you are wearing the CNC grin for a week.
Would like to see some video of it working if you can get it uploaded.
    Cheers,
    Rod

Just finished playing with the settings in mach 3 and I have now tuned the motors and setup mach to control the spindle
I also have a large grin on my face that will be there for a while.
I won't be able to play with woody for a while as the wife and I are going north for a week but I will be putting a MDF bed in when I get back and then I can run my first code

I lied, I found a few minutes to play. Bobby (son) has a x-box 360 controller and PC connection so i just had to see if I could get that to work.
It took a little of fiddling but it has been successful as seen in the video below
Definitely no more playing with woody (that sounds wrong) as we fly out early tomorrow
