Default CNC machining wanted in Melbourne

    Hi all
I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this so please let me know.

anyway i need some small CNC jobs done from time to time and i need someone reliable who can do this, preferably in south-east Melbourne which has been difficult to find so if anyone
can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.
I have created the drawings in autocad and saved them as DXF files so it is just a matter of running the program.

    THanks
    Steve

Peter Homann lives in SE Melbourne. He is also reliable and very knowledgeable and also an advertiser on this site.

There are many other people on this site who would also be able to help you.

Just pick one of the lengthier threads and go through it until you see someone who lives where you need them be.

No, and he doesn't regularly, but Bob was suggesting you contact members local to you to see if they were interested / able to do jobs for you.

If you want a formal professional service then look in the yellow pages.

    Hi Steve,

Theres a guy in Bayswater who does alot of small machining on various materials.
I have been to him a number of times for odd jobs and if I catch him on the right day he can machine my pieces rather quickly.
His shop is called "cut it out"

Here's his website link Melbourne Cutting Services | Cut It Out

    Good luck

That guy (cut it out) is hopeless. He used to do alloy jobs for me but then he must have decided it was too hard, and sat on my order for over 2 months, telling me every week it would be done the next. With no intention of actually doing it. This left my startup business out of its best selling product for far too long and had me circling the drain. Not cool.
This prompted me to build my own CNC machine, i do the parts myself now and they come out with a better finish and far more accurate. I laugh whenever i see that clown's ute driving around now... i am surprised he is still in business.

I am also in bayswater and can now CNC small-ish parts for you from alloy or steel, give me a month or so and ill be able to do anything upto 800x300mm as my second CNC mill is nearing completion )

    LOL.. Thanks for your reply.
Yes i agree with your assessment of this guy but i was trying to be a little diplomatic
I cant work out how these people are in business either. if you are busy and cant do the job just say so.
I am tempted to buy a machine my self and offer a reliable honest service which i am sure will have to be a winner.

I will keep you in mind just pm me your details.

    Hi Steve
I've just recently built my cnc router machined and I'm very excited about how it turned out. I work in the Cheltenham area and I would like to offer you a free cutting service so I can build up my cutting knowledge . If I have material kicking about you can use it, if not I will need to purchase it.

Send me me a message if you want to try me out.

    cheers

Well Steve, you aren't going to do much better than that.
Free cutting, free material and close by to you. This site obviously was the place to ask.

Would the forum moderators please remove the above post from tinacnc in this thread. It is not relevant and is not even all that much help in a more general sense either.

What has happened to the button that allows one to automatically report posts such as this?

Its still there - hidden as an icon of a Triangle with a exclamation mark in the centre of it. Bottom left hand side.
