    Another option is to search for 'vector background pattern' or 'bamboo vector' which should lead to a good selection of Adobe Illustrator/eps patterns. They'll take a bit of cleaning up (deleting silly stuff like radial fills or graduated tints) but they'll do the job. Non-vector images can be vectorised using something like the free online service from vectormagic.com
