CNC services needed for Sydney electric guitar repair
Hi forum-members,
I'm on the lookout for a Sydney-based person or firm who can take a 3D mesh file (an electric guitar body) and use it in their CNC rig. The type of wood will likely be a light hardwood like swamp ash. A small job, but one requiring accuracy around the various pickup, control, and tremolo routings.
No infringement of copyrighted styles or shapes (i.e. Fender/Gibson) involved, BTW. (If I could buy a replacement off-the-shelf, I would.)
Job would suit a local CNC-based luthier, or someone with CNC kit/skills wanting to get into this type of thing a little more, I expect.
Best,
Jules

what accuracy do you have in your mesh , i drew up a violin top plate that had over 7000 z axis points ( took me 2 months to draw ) and the mesh was a 2.5mm 3.5mm points ,
machining took over 7 hours ( 1 side ) with a very fine finish
a guitar wont fit it my machine, sorry
cheers ken
