Default A new member with CNC skills

    Hi all,

I discovered this forum a couple days ago with a post about CNC and VFD that I'm crazy about. I found many informations here and it is a great forum. As I make some metal work and have also a DIY CNC, I will share my projects with you. I also have a small youtube channel where I put videos for sharing. Someone said that a picture values 1000 words so video do so I guess. This link is the very 1st cut of my CNC:

    Hi and welcome aboard
Looks to be a good build, is it all plywood?
I have the same spindle and controler on my cnc. Works great.
My spindel took a while to get the front bears working correctly on my spindle, too much vertical movement and run out.
Looking at you aluminum cut look to be very slow and shallow any particular reason for this?

    Hi rusel,

Yes all is made from plywood with the torsion box concept. I was pretty happy with the spindle but this week the VFD seems have trouble (short cut error message).
For the cutting speed indeed, it was very low. At this stage I do not really know if the machine would not bend under cutting forces .
