    i cant see where air can escape , with heat it will build up pressure , not a good thing ,
    how come a 10mm peg dont fit in a 10mm hole

    Thanks for the advice, in a rush and never even thought about it, I have since drilled a 1/4 inch hole through the bung.

    Disagree that heat will cause significant pressure build up within the watercooling system. You'll find that the system will only run at a few degrees over ambient (if that, these spindles don't generate much heat at all). This is not enough to cause any such problems.

    those PC radiators cant handle pressure and the vinyl tube is even worse ,so an air hole is necessary

    im running 2x 3 bay radiators without fans , and a 10lt water storage with radiator coolant ( your fans would probably 4x the cooling power )
    im in the tropics and 1.5kw spindle runs at a steady max of 55 - 60c at 30c out side temp so +25c too 30c ( after 10hours of running )
    i run one set of 3 radiators ( same PC size as yours but 3 bays in one radiator ) exiting the motor , and since my pump pumps too much water , 3/4 of what it pumps go's through the second bank of 3 radiators and directly back to the coolant tank ,only 1/4 of whats pumped go's to the spindle

    another thing i see is the mix of aluminum and copper in the cooling system , the spindle is stainless steel , so you dont have to worry about that , but the aluminum / copper will need coolant added or there will be serous corrosion on the aluminum parts within a year

    i didnt run fans because the dust was getting blow into the grills and i figured they would soon block up ,and mine has enough raidator size to not need fans , so some sort of filters would be good to keep the dust out of the radiator fins ( a blast of compressed air every 20 hours would be OK )

    PS , nice neat build , well done , cant wait to see what you make with your machine

    Hi Sawdustsniffer, I will be running engine coolant, I only used aluminium and the stainless, the plastic hose I had to replace one section with rubber hose because I could not get a good seal and it leaked, here in south western Victoria we don't get that much hot weather, but I will trial the plastics for a while and see if they will need to be replaced un the summer months.
