Cheers for the videos Greg.
Wish I had a few thousand extra to burn on a new machine currently building a small machine for aluminium plate.
Gaskets could really come in handy, I paid something stupid like $70 for two genuine Yamaha gaskets not long ago.

Great vids,
I especially like the first video with the idea of the spring to hold down the material as it cuts, simple and very effective. Can't see which type of knife is used in the techno though, might be a round pizza cutter type knife or a blade style.
The function in mach 3 for the tangential follow is pretty good. I have played with it a little as i have mucked around with a glass cutter so i can do some glass stuff for my mum who wants to get into stained glass. Was trying to code something up to allow the machine to run for a certain time frame then move the cutter to a certain spot where i would have an oil spot to allow auto oiling. Didn't work out but didn't spend alot of time on it, other option was to have an oil shot system run from a trigger faced at the cutter like water cooling/misting. Might be worth revisiting to play around with a knife too.
