Thanks Rod
And yes those motors are 1076 ozin, I have a box full so I put 3 on ebay just to see what they go for.
Next will be the water or air cooled spindle from china, not shore which is the better one !
Hopefully will get the y axis together next week, pick up ali plate friday.

That is a nice looking machine you have there. I love the control console.

Reason I asked is I was to receive some 6mm waterjet cut parts today and that 6mm is pretty flexible IMO.
Might have to upgrade it to 10mm next time.
BTW post some pics when you get it done, I would love to see it.

Hi Ch4iS
The 6mm steel plate is 200mm wide with 40mm tube down the side, which i stich welded and i ended up with a .5mm bow so i tried to staighten it by driving my 4wd over it it didn't budge.
previous to the upgrade the gantry sides where 300mm taller and i still could'nt get it to flex, only flex i had was the ozito router.
Will do some test when finnished and try measure flex.
More to come stay tuned.

Last update before xmas, next is to buy the 12mm ali plate for the table top and I will also put a plate on the front of the table as this will come in handy for facing edges .

Looks great,
Loving the high finish quality, now it looks like a commercial machine you would buy (even better)
