    Default Favourite Console Function Buttons

    G'day all,
I have been mulling about trying to decide what functions I need to incorporate into my console. The machine is dual purpose (Router and Plasma) three axis using Mach3.
Since I am already using the wireless x-box controller for Jog in cont and step, cycle start, stop, reset, spindle/torch toggle, zero x,y,and z, I don't see the sense in replicating these functions on the console but plan to build in a dock for the controller so it ties in with the rest of the console. The only exceptions may be Reset and Spindle toggle.
Other buttons I am considering are Feedrate+, Feedrate-, Feed reset, Spindle toggle, Spindle speed+,Spindle speed-, Rewind, Offline toggle, Single block run, Go to 0, Ref all, touch plate, go to safe Z, Laser X hair toggle.
I'm open to suggestions, and would love to know other users favourite buttons/functions as there are many neat functions which I have probably not even discovered.
Also please let me know if there are any blaring obvious omissions.
    Cheers,

One to consider is rapid override, if you turn your feedrate down that is one thing, but rapids can still be flat out, if you are running a job the first time, you may need to check the machine will clear clamps, parts of the job etc. If the rapids are still at 100% you may not have time to hit the panic button.

Probably more for difficult high turnover kinda jobs but might be worth adding. I don't use Mach so I don't know if it will support this though...

For me, you can never have enough start/stop/run/pause buttons around. With the controller being wireless, it will be inevitable that you will put the controller down say on a table and then goto the pc and then have to find it or the controller will be low. all sorts of things and for a few bucks it might be worth the duplicate buttons.

    Thanks for the input.
I did come across this button in one of the Mach screens since you mentioned it Russell. Never noticed it before so this is the type of thing I was hoping for because I know there will be many great features and commands that I have never used, but would use once I knew about them.
I think you are right Daniel, I was trying to keep it simple and avoid clutter but there is no point in doing this at the expense of basic functionality.
