Help needed - spindle options
Hi there,
I bought the CNC Shark pro (CNC Shark Pro Plus : CARBA-TEC) from carbatec about 2 years ago.
I use it to carve patterns into radiata pine panels and some of the pieces need a machining time of 5-10 hours.
The machine itself is fine, but i am having trouble with the Bosch Trimmer than comes with it.
The first Bosch router lasted a long time, but i have blown two motors this year itself.
I have tried to keep it running for 45-60 minutes and then pausing the work for 30 minutes and then starting again, but this also did not help witht he last router.
Does anybody have any suggesstion as to what could be a suitable alternative to the bosch router.
I was thinking of putting an industrial spindle on it but the question is will the shark take the weight (unsupported rails).
On another note, i am planning to build a bigger machine for myself, with cutting capacity of 1200 by 1200 by 200 with a possible rotary axis fixed on it.
Any ideas on where can i source some linear rails/block and ballscrews and nuts.
Thanks
Harry
