Limit switch wiring
This is a simple question. When running wires from a micro limit switch to say an Arduino, should the cables be sheathed ? The length of the run is approx 1.5M.

Twin core shielded would be best - saying that, I've used standard trailer wire on my CNC.

For my limit switches on the 6040 CNC, I've used a twin core, shielded cable from Jaycar (this stuff I think http://www.jaycar.com.au/Wire,-Cable...Cable/p/WB1504).
Shield is only connected at the controller end.Geoff
