    Question Mist Spray

I have bought this mist sprayer but there were no instructions with it.
Would someone please help me tp work out how to fit it to my CNC and what liquid to use?
I believe the large opening is for a pump and the blue one is to be placed near the bit. I can, however not work out what to do with the plastic tubing, there is a very fine porous bronze? filter at the end.

Whoa, I didn't expect it to be THAT big, sorry
I know that I have to have a tray under the job to collect the liquid.
    TYI
Every day is better than yesterday

    Cheers

just taking a guess - from the look of it that is designed to work as a siphon. the clear tube goes into your container of cutting lube/cooling oil, you hook a compressor up where the valve is (i'd be guessing it needs about 5-15psi constant?) and you get a very fine spray out the the other end.

    Hi saisay

When I did mine, I bought a small fuel pump from ebay and I use it with a misting nozzle that sprays meths. This does not affect the surface of my table which is MDF. You will need some sort of a pump to force the coolant through the tubing.

I hope you are using appropriate fume extraction ?

Can also be run using compressed air with a pressurised coolant tank or air suction hose.

Yes, I call mine 'my fan'

Anyway, now that I have stopped drinking and doing drugs, it is the only way I can get a bit high.

I had to use meths with mine as I needed something that would not affect the MDF too much.
If you have a different water based coolant and don't mind getting your table wet then you can use that with the pump instead.

"Honestly, officer, I haven’t had a drop to drink, I've just been running my CNC setup this afternoon!"

"Why are my CNC machining prices so high? - tequila based coolant isn't cheap, you know"
