First Movements
So after a ridiculously long hiatus, I've found some time to progress things along.
I have some issues with my X-Axis alignment which is causing some binding issues with the bearings but I've got the Y and Z running at long last !!
Anyways, quick video to show some progress.
Cheers,
Row.

It's lovely when you get that first movement isn't it?
The amount of noise you are getting is more than usual because the large sides are acting as a sound box.Bob Willson

I agree Bob, it is pretty cool. For a first run, I'm over the moon and the motivation is definitely back to get this thing running.
I haven't done any tuning or the proper configuration of the motors yet either so I'm hoping it'll run a lot smoother when that's all done.
Unfortunately it will take a fair bit of work to sort out my X axis issues so I'm going with a temporary moving table design until I can transfer it over to the intended moving gantry version.
Cheers,
Row.
