What Plywood to use??
Im new to the CNC world. I purchased a Shapeoko XXL and learning the machine as well as the bit to use. I am however having a time figuring out material to use. I have learned on the smaller projects(1x10) the cut turns out better with good boards. I want to try a 24"x24" sign. I know I want to use Plywood.......just don't know what to use? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Are you cutting all the way through or just the surface?
your bit choice has an impact on finish, down cut spiral helps to keep the top surface un damaged when using ply.
I found it would chip and get out quite easily and have much better success with solid timber. Others may have suggestions on ply, if pressed I'd suggest a good marine grade

Hi sefrayser and welcome to the forum. I guess you're in Virginia USA? Most of the members on here are located in Australia so many of the replies you get are likely to be in the local terminology and based on what is available here. Just something to keep in mind if some of the replies don't make sense to you.
Cheers,
David
