Re-Gas for laser
Hi to all.
I have just purchased a second hand Epilog laser cutter/engraver . It is still in working order except that the power has diminished and now takes 4 times as long to do the job . I beleive that this is caused by the tube needing a regas.
So here it is. Does anyone know where I can get this done and what is the right gas mixture for a sealed tube?
I beleive it is a synrad tube and the guy I bought it from has been using it for the last 14 years. Epilog quoted him some huge price for a replacement to which he decided to buy a new machine.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
p.s. Thanks to Twisted Fuse (Daniel) for pointing out the sale of the item to me. I'll let you use it when I get it.Michael
'I am' is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that 'I do' is the longest?

I have read of a company in the US that re-gasses the synrad lasers.
Do some searching on CNCzone.

Hey Mick,
You'd wanna let me use it...lol. Got yourself a great deal though. Look forward to helping you out with the tweaks and mods, though, will be different.

Thanks Dan.
I'll turn around from my desk and shout over the great distance of 10 feet to let you know when it arrives so we can have a good look at it.
