RFQ: S/S Memorial Plaque
Hello Everyone,
Looking for anyone willing to do a memorial plaque on some stainless steel. The S/S will be provided and is 8" x 10" from memory and needs to be lasered. It consists of images and text and the layout can be provided if anyone is interested.
The last one done didn't even last 12mths. It is to be located near the ocean hence why a decent wattage laser is needed to etch deep enough with thermark or cermark to make sure it lasts unless someone can guarentee a decent life from it.
Thanks in advance,
Daniel
P.S Any furthur questions/recommendations welcome

Hi Daniel,
Have you thought of an alternative material.
I know these things are personal so ignore this if that is the case.Cheers,

Hi Rod,
Am open to different options but most of the ones i have thought about are able to be broken or wear quicker in salt air. Have thought about laserable metal but alot of them are aluminum based and wear quickly.

Hi Daniel
Air Affairs in Bellvue St South Nowra have Lasers up to 1000 Watts.
They will do small jobs.
BTW You'll be amazed to know that our CNC Router is up and running
Bill is cutting out planes with a 0.8 mm spiral bit.
BobTDon't argue with idiots, they only drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Thanks everyone for the comments, will think about all of them.
Bob, good news about your cnc running. As for Air Affairs,i deal with them directly for the company i work for but since they are currently busy with lots of work and currently moving location to the end of the road near work, i thought i would leave it as a last resort. Also i would prefer to spend money in small business and helping people here grow is a great thing.
