Roland CAMM 3 PNC 3000
Hi
Just wondering if anyone has a book or info on this machine as we bought it in a Tender and we did not think we would get it and surprise, surprise we did. No instructions, software or book on how to operate it.
Roland sent us the software (at no cost) but we would love more information on the use of this machine. We do bread and butter turning in Hobart but hope this machine will give us more scope to do interesting things. Other half does large bowls and we thought we could do our business name on bottom but others say we can do lots of things so if someone can help with knowledge it would be gratefully appreciated.

You have scored yourself a fine machine. I had a look at the model and they say it is just an engraving machine and I tend to agree. It has a working area of 180 by 150mm and only a 100 watt spindle so you are fairly restricted by this. I imagine it only takes small diameter cutters as well.
For your turnings perhaps you can shape a round timber disc and do some carving in there. The disc can be a contrasting colour and round so you can insert it in the bottom of a turning by creating a pocket with a forstner bit.Cheers,
Rod
