basically your y axis locks ,and A axis spins
now to make something , you need a CAM program that can encode your drawings ,. ive been looking and apart from a cheep " relief wrapping " program on ebay for $25 , they all seam to start at about $1500
i use the 4th with TurboCAD's addon 2 1/2D CAM , but that is a mechanical CAM not an "art cam" , basicly 2D wrapped
its good for cutting things you could make on a lathe , cog's , cranks ,cam's , worm gear's ect
ive used CUT3D and ran the code for 4 sides , then in note pad , cut and pasted the the rough and finish cut files into one file manually adding the 90deg turn on the a axis , between each sides g-codehow come a 10mm peg dont fit in a 10mm hole
