Default Speed control pot for Huangyang VFD

Hi there, I remember reading somewhere about adding the pot for the speed control on the front panel, I pulled mine apart ( the front panel) and it seem it has provision to solder the pot in the position where it should be, my question is has anyone done it? or know where i can find the info, and also what size and type of pot?

I saw this one linked from a thread just before yours. Scroll down the page a bit.

Lots of photos but no detail of the potentiometer value required.

Also found this one from RayG

Thanks for the info Snowyskiesau, that is the exact article I was looking for, I looked through the Alltronics Catalogue and there are two pots that look like they will fit the circuit board, only a couple of dollars each, I will order them and try them out, will let you know how it goes.

    Hi Nick,

If Altronics don't have the right part, you could try Element14 (used to be Farnell)
No account required, quick delivery. If I have an order in by 6:00PM, it's delivered the next afternoon which for southern Tasmania, is pretty good.

Went to the local Jaycar re-seller and they ordered it for from Alltronics, should be here on Friday.
