    Default Stepper Driver Board

Hey There, I have an old home build CNC Router setup that I bought a long time ago, when it was built they (I'm told that RodM had a hand in it)
after a few years of operation the Stepper driver board has past on, i am hoping that someone out there might have an old style Xylotex 4 Axis Driver Board that they no longer need and would be willing to sell, I know that there are other options but hopefully I can get the same components and just plug and play. Thanks in advance

    Hi Hazza,
Can't help you with a new board, but interested in how you go.
I have not heard of that board. I assume its no longer manufactured? Good luck finding one. Tried Ebay?

Next best option is to move to newer board. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to retrofit a different driver board. Do you use Mach 3?

I chanced on a new Driver Board the other day. It appears to be aimed at the hobbyist. Called 'Acorn CNC'?

    Gidday Harry,
I did have some input with Steve on that machine build a long time ago.
I can help you out if you have not resolved your problem yet. The main issue is I will require your machine and computer delivered north of the river so I can work on it without a time limit. Obviously there will be a cost but I will not charge for my time only for parts as Steve is a good mate.
Xylotex no longer supply boards but I have a 4 axis board here and it will cost $US155 plus $US27.00 delivery which was the original price. The currency conversion was a lot lower than now but I am not able to extablish the rate back ten so just apply current rate - your win.
I can also upgrade to Leadshine drivers if you want but this will probably cost more. Can also go Gecho but you will have to have deep pockets for this option.
    Up to you.
    Cheers,
    Rod

Hey Rod, Thanks for the reply, our mate Laser Len, has been in contact with you and his mate has found a Driver board that has a bigger capacity than the original Board, it will be here in a week or so, if this doesn't work, I will load up my machine and come and see you.
    Thanks again
