John,
I don't think that code is an error. Looking through the manual all errors seem to be preceded with an "E"
Here is a link which details the common errors for the Huanyang units

Now having said that I just found the following link
URL LInk (Click) VFD Setting
1. If your inverter has a error code "E.Lu.S"
Step 1: PD200=65535
Step 2: PD209=selecting 50
2. If your inverter has a error code "E.oA.A"
The frequency setting of the inverter is not matching with the VFD spindle.
Please reset the parameter
Step 1: PD005=400
Step 2: PD004=400
Step 3: PD072=400
Step 4: PD003=400
3. If the knob cannot be used to adjust the speed of the VFD spindle.
Please reset the parameter
Step 1: PD002=1
Step 2: PD070=1
I hope this helps

Actually, this site has a really good version of the manual for the HY series units. The last few pages even include diagrams on how to connect the water cooling system and there is a diagram for the spindle wiring included - WOW!!!
I have reattached it here for others to enjoy

I have found this thread great for setting up my spindle and my HY inverter. I still cant mach3 to control it though. I know my pmdx controller is outputting 0-10v as I can measure it with the multimeter but for the life of me I cant get working settings to make the inverter respond..

Thanks Bob, I will have a look at it in detail tomorrow.
I tried al sorts of things in this thread and followed seafurymikes pdf but still couldnt get it working. I was wiring it up for just forwards as I dont see why I would need ccw at the moment.
Hopefully in your thread there is the spark I need to figure it out.
Thanks,
Jason

Just beat me to it.
No, they are not the same. I have had a number of orders with Chai (linermotionbearings) and they have all been very good.

Kim
I have purchased two spindles and vfd from "lovehappy"(Aaron bai) and been very happy with the price and service - especially when I complained about the bearings not lasting and he supplied a new spindle for cost and did not charge any freight.
cheers

Thanks Noel. I've seen a lot of people happy with lovehappy's spindles. Seems to be a good product with after sales service as well. I was thinking of going the air cooled 1.5kw, but as it is only er11 collet will probably go a bit bigger for the er20.

Hi all, I hope you guys can help me without me having to read the whole thread which I will do later.
We are using these VFD's to power ClearVue cyclones for use in Australia and I have a question I hope someone here can answer. Why is the RPM readout on the screen displaying only 50% of the actual speed the motor is turning at? Thanks.CHRIS

Are you sure that the motor is actually turning at the speed that you think it is? Are you running the cyclone through a belted pulley and if so, is this modifying the speed you are reading?

Hi Bob, thanks for taking the time to answer this. The cyclone is here.....
Three Phase Systems : ClearVue Cyclones, Dust Collection Cyclone
any of the units on that page. It uses direct drive and at the frequency we run it, 60hz, the VFD reads 1770 which is near enough to half of 3450 the correct rpm for 60 hz. Likewise at 50hz it reads about 1420, that being half of the 2850 I would expect it to read. Any clues? I expect it is a program error and the VFD has only had the run frequency changed but in my ignorance I wonder if I have changed something else.CHRIS
