My first question would be how are you controlling the speed? via comms , keypad or potentiometer.

A flashing F00.00 just means it is not moving and may not have received a speed command so not an error code. From memory F400.0 would indicate full speed ie 24,000rpm
I'd have to dig up my old notes but I'd suggest setting the VFD up for input via the keypad and set the speed manually to ensure that the drive is fine and then work your way back from there.

    Cheers

Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply.

Control is via the VFD keypad.

Yes a frequency of 400 would be 24000 rpm.

I have PD001 currently set to zero - set by the operator. After I power up the VFD and have the F00.00 flashing I can push the up arrow and 400 is displayed? If I push the set button then run, still nothing happens.

The parameter for the frequency command is PD002 and should be 000 for panel control, 001 for potentiometer control.
Just in case: there is a little shortening tab across two of three pins just next to the connection block. It's labelled J1. If the little bridge has fallen out, the VFD frequency will not change by any means, I believe. If it is set across pin 1 & 2, it is set for an external potentiometer and the inbuilt one won't work even with the PD002 set to 1. Just another of the possible 'glitches'....
    Cheers,

Thank you for the reply. I hadn't thought about the jumper. I have been moving the machine around a bit lately modifying my garage. I will check that when I get home from work.

From memory, I don't recall seeing any numbers for the pins, Just VI or VR. Do you know which is correct for key pad controll?

Yoiu are right. The labelling is VI and VR. You will need to have the link jumper across the right side marked VR.
Here is a picture for others and for future reference - with the jumper set for potentiometer control (external or internal is set by PD002 as mentioned in the previous post) - circled red.

Jhovel, You have just achieved a God like status in my eyes. 👍

That jumper was totally off the pins. It did not fix the problem initially so I reset the VFD to factory defaults an re-entered my settings, power cycled the unit and behold, the beauty of a high speed spindle.

Thank you Mark and jhovel for taking the time to reply. It is truly appreciated! 🍻
