    Default VFD Help needed

    Hey Guys,

    Need help, having trouble with a keling VFD. Basically i can not enter any content, into the PD codes.
    Firstly I didn't get a manual with the unit so that didn't start well. From the info that i have found it may be a Huanyang and the only model number it has is a KL1500. I've searched the thread's on this forum and on CNCzone, i still haven't got any further with the VFD. From what iv'e read and seen on youtube, i should not be having this sort of trouble. Uploaded some image for reference.
    First image is the VFD in question.
    Second image is at power up with that display flashing, hope someone could tell me what it means
    Third image is from when I press the "prog" button, pressing any other button does nothing. Once i get to PD000 i can use the up or down arrow keys. the whole display is still flashing.
    The only other button that help's is bottom-left hand corner button, which moves the digit's e'g PD001,PD010,PD100
    That's is all i can do. again i can not enter any content. Any advice to enlighten me would be much appreciated. And to think this is my last phase in my CNC build, and is giving me the most headache.

    Woodtickler,

    Your unit looks exactly like mine which is the Huanyang unit.

    I think your correct with the 3rd image which shows the setup menu. From there you may need to hit the "set" button and use the up and down buttons to increase or decrease the values.

    If this fails yell back and i can check my unit tonight for the exact sequence required

    Mike,

    Wow thanks for the quick reply. will that's good new's that you have the same vfd. As mention earlier i can enter any PD code e.g PD012, but i can not get to the point of seeing the setting or even to change the setting's, I've actually go a printout of one of your replys in 'Tips for newbie Huanyang VFD users' in which you state the PD codes to change first,
    Because i'm flyling blind here, i assume when you, once you have your selected PD code, you push some button, to view current, value, then selet another button to edit it. At the moment only arrow keys, prog key and buttom left corner key, what ever that is working for me. I'm just hope I don't have a faulty Unite.
