    Check the documentation for your break-out board, there is usually an output on there to drive a relay to power up extra accessories.

    You'll need to check in the manual of your VFD. But unless it has some sort of 'resume last state' control option, you'll probably need to drive it via your CNC software.

    It can be done with a relay. Switchng the VFD on and off is controlled by closing / opening a circuit across DCM / FOR outputs on the VFD. You'll need to program the VFD setting correctly though so it knows what speed to run at once the circuit is closed.

    Hi Brad
    thank you for your replay
    the vfd manual say that i can switching the vfd on and off
    they said that d1 , d2 and dcm is used to do that but i don't know what is the terminal d1,d2

    and there is some setting on the vfd like
    Select the terminals of D1 and D2
    Parameter setting:
    PD001=1 for external control
    PD044=01 for RUN function
    PD045=05 for switching of F/R
    When K2 is opened it rotates forward, while K2 is closed it rotates
    reverse.

    can you help me with this

    Read my build thread. I have a few pages of VFD problems I encounted and answers. Start here.... https://www.woodworkforums.com/f170/g...7/index12.html
