Since when is a chopstick octagonal?
.....
OK, how 'bout we call it square with bevelled edges? <sheepish grin>

Lemme see now. 7x7mm profile, length is supposed to be 230mm (acc Dr Google). Kerf of the BCT JMP mpphg saw thing is supposed to be naff all, call it ½mm (and fletty, you KNOW youwantneed one, to save timber - the first container of chopsticks and it will have paid for itself many times over in timber savings - and think of how often you might see Chris and I.....actually....don't do that). So 7.5 x 7.5 x 230.5 mm, which is 0.000012965625m³ to the nearest 12 decimal places (I can go more but Excel is having a hissy fit at more than 12).
So from a cube of Shmiller's finest, you can expect to yield around 77127.0185586888 choppies. Allowing 0.0185586888 for errors, that means approximately a shight load of choppies from a cube of timber. Paul, how many m³ in a 20' container (allowing for packaging)?
No, not smoking anything. Not even vaping. Just my normal state. :;
Yep, just as I thought. If you continue with that MONSTROUS 2mm kerf blade on your table saw (instead of investing in a BCT JMP mpphg saw thing) you will get a paltry 53467.6440552 .....call it 467 for convenience..... choppies per cube.
Clearly a worthwhile investment. (and we'll bring beer each time)
On sale now Chopstick Master - Bridge City Tool Works
At least fletty got a head start in his bid for total domination of the Australian (Worldwide?) hand-made chopstick market. :D
Might be the first of several "closing down specials" from BCTW....worth keeping an eye on their webpage. No doubt there is some stock which JE will want to get rid off before handing over the reins.
Sorry for the tardy response. Go to HARVEY INDUSTRIES CO.,LTD. , click on products and there is a tab on the left side for Bridge City tools.

Have you ordered their toothpick master 3000 yet? I head it's really good.
In my opinion the best chopsticks are made from bamboo.
Here is the Jointmaker Pro v2 at Major Woodworking Equipment in Sydney:

I'm pretty sure that price of $1575 doesn't include GST, but even so, it's very competitive with the USA price of USD1585. Are they the same quality I wonder? Surely they can't be....
MWE does not have the Precision Fence System for it.
fletty, had I known that MWE were carrying the Jointmaker I would have asked to see one when we were there.
MY plans for World domination died the day Mini Me changed his name to Chris Parks!
Mightnt have been a good idea FF? If you remember, half of the MWE staff we talked to, tried to talk us OUT of buying the Chopstick Master? Imagine their reaction to wanting to buy the Jointmaker!
Wongo, the Toothpickmaker Pro was deleted from the range when someone discovered that the economics of turning one log into a single toothpick simply didn’t stack up.
