    Default Stanley Multi Angle Vice

Bought this last week and have given it a bit of a workout. I use it to hold parts while I'm soldering and so far it has been great.

I nearly bought the cheaper Chinese version but couldn't wait for 4 weeks (or longer ) for it to arrive.
Bought it off eBay for $50 delivered (Chinese version was about half that). It was sent overnight, which was a bit of a welcome surprise.
It's all metal construction and really good quality. The vice jaws are removable, hardened steel. 75 mm wide and open to 70 mm. It comes with 2 slip on soft jaws that fit snugly over the steel jaws.
The clamp that holds it onto the table is substantial and can fit on to a 60 mm thick bench top. The ball and socket joint locks down solidly and is also quite substantial.
I'm really impressed with this and glad I didn't go for the cheaper version. Highly recommended. If you have a use for one of these I don't think you will be disappointed with the quality of this one.
The higher end version of this is the Panavise and while these are very good, a basic unit will cost you well over $100.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

I bought one for SWMBO to take "camping and carving" and as expected she's used a few times and now its cluttering up the shed.
Seeing yours surrounded by electronics gear got me thinking I might use it in my E-workshop although it might still be too high for me it that situation as I like to work sitting down.

I originally designed it to go under a vehicle tow ball like this but it rattled around too much
The vertical position can be changed by sliding it up and down that HD Unistrut channel

So this is what I came up with - not my idea someone elses from WW or MW forums
    It was OK

On my e-bench I have this gizmo.
The "ball and socket" are from a 1972 Datsun 180B side mirror.
It's also too high even when fully laid over on its side.
