I wouls be cutting my losses and recycling on the dump run trailer.

Wow ... those seem to have seen better days. Been in the Vietnam war?
Everything is possible, but only you can decide if it is worth the investment in time and money. I have 4 Ikea bar stools and they are cheap and dare I say kid's proof.
Maybe you can try the embellishment treatment pedalled in the previous post?
