    Default Evil wood carving from islanders want to re paint help ID ORIGIN HEAD FOR SHIP MAYBE

    This item is 41" tall 9 - 91/2 at the base 9 1/2 from base up to ledge. I would like to repaint this item if it has no historical value. This is a weird looking carving looks like this top section fitted into another piece see images

    It doesnt look too much like a figure head to me, perhaps some sort of souvenir item produced for the tourist market in India or South East Asia?
