Kalmar table
I have a Kalmar side table which I intend to restore. I have read that these tables were made of coachwood and finished with wax.
This is a set of restored tables from the web: Kalmar original 1.jpg
I believe the set in the picture would have been finished with a brown wax, but not sure. The table I am restoring is for my son and he would prefer a lighter colour, so I'm thinking a clear wax would work? I am very unsure of what to do. Should I use a sealer prior to wax?

Hi, my go to product for restoring any finish is Constantia Organic Finishes Cleaner Restorer, it will remove any waxes without removing the the original lacquer or French polish finish and will buff to a satin finish which can be left as is or followed up with a wax.
