His guys,

I am attempting (pics below / attached) on a pair of mid-century modern teak venner "
reliance furniture" bedside table and I am after some advice re process and products.

As the veneer is very thin I plan to light sand 240 grade sand paper or fine steel wool. I figure I don't need to use stripper.
I will need patch or replace the damaged veneer.

I am then no sure what products to use to finish it..
Do I use an oil or stain? I am looking to keep the original look as much as possible. Its also worth noting one of the bedside tables has faded slightly due to the sun.Bedside table 1.jpgBedside table 2.jpgBedside table 4.jpgBedside table 5.jpgBedside table 6.jpgBedside table 3.jpgBedside table 1.jpgBedside table 2.jpgBedside table 4.jpgBedside table 5.jpgBedside table 6.jpgBedside table 3.jpgBedside table 1.jpgBedside table 2.jpgBedside table 4.jpgBedside table 5.jpgBedside table 6.jpgBedside table 3.jpg
Should I put a coating to protect against water ring marks?
How do I colour the veneer to match as best I can?

As I said this is my first project so any advice would be welcome and suggestion of best products to use.
