This project turned out to be a lot more train than I started out to build, was just going to build a toy with simple details but once I got the feel for the General I just had to take it a little farther than planned.
This is done in birch with a touch a oak hear and there.

Norm Marshall's toy book was the starting point for this build, used his shapes to get it figured out.
I have built many of the toys in this book over the years but had never tried this one.

Bruce, You make it all look so easy.
BUT, sir, I know the level of craftsmanship, patience and skill required to create these beautiful models; first class indeed.
