Thanks John....
Just going through the toymakers and model makers with there projects that haven't had much updates with the view to ensure all's well.
Looking forward to seeing both the "commission job" and the return to this project in a little while...cheers Peter
Well the winter hibernation is over, back on the 300 SL. Was impossible to use 4 mm dowel for the chassis, had to go back to square section 5 x 5 mm pine.
Started on the body, all made out of jelutong, see by the photos its made up in sections,a lot of sawing , chiseling, sanding ( the Ryobi power sander had a good work out) finally got it into shape.
Penciled in the openings to be cut out, once they are removed I'll be able to see the thickness, and to sand the inside of the body down to about 6 mm thick. Then make the doors , bonnet and boot lid. John.
Very nice progress John.....
No cobwebs from the winter hibernation; I hope it stays cool enjoy to continue the journey...
Cheers, crowie
PS - Thank you for the extra photos.....
"WONDERFUL"
