Default But where will he sit GaGa?

A few weeks ago, I made a pre-emptive strike on my entry into the TOY forum...

    Wheels, pre WIP

..... and this is where it was leading. I am blessed with twin grandchildren who are just a delight. They turn 4 in a few weeks and the shed is busy with post Christmas giftmaking.
I made a toy motor bike a few months ago .....

    image.jpg

......which is very popular with both of them but they know that it a "propotype" and stays in the shed to teach me how to make the "real ones".....
    One afternoon while we were sitting on the shed verandah, the little bloke looked up and said;
"but where will he sit GaGa"...........?

A new design was created and production commenced. I WAS going to do a WIP but it is so simple that random production shots is all you're going to get...

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

... and, before the heat drove me out of the shed a few hours ago, production models were rolling off the line...

    Love the bike!
I have two delightful granddaughters who unfortunately reside in London. They had a short 6 day visit over Christmas Luckily I kept some toys and furniture I made for my daughter over 30 years ago so I dragged them out of the shed. A delight to have the young ones around the house again.

Who ever would have thought that Flettmobile would turn out more vehicles in a day than Holden...

Very nice, but unlike Holden these won't pass ADR.

"Where will he sit Ga Ga??" Answer should have been "Freestylers and bush track riders don't sit down!!!" You've pinched H's cloth pegs for the seats didn't you

Looking good for a one handed woodworker

After today's news of the sad loss of REPLICONICS, I didn't really know what to do so I immersed myself in the toy motorbikes while continually making comparisons to his 2/3 scale masterpieces ...... mine simply don't compare! Trevor however would have continued to praise my efforts in that positive, humble and self effacing style for which he was justifiably famous.

Here's some more for you Trev, I hope you took your WIFI with you, RIP mate.

Yes to the sticker but modern labelling machines take all of the hard work out of it. This project is growing like Topsy? Due to a conflict over colour, each Bub gets 2 with their names on them and I had to find a font that has the 'correct' lower case 'a' so there's no confusion when school starts.

    image.jpg

Then, the 2 family members who have REAL bikes, have to have one each named after them....... plus a symbolic Indian Straight Four ....... and suddenly I'm up to 12 in the production line ?
I'm about to go back into wheel production,I found a piece of scrap plywood and I need more for me and some for 'export'. At least it's cooler in the factory today.
