I've made good progress today "as some may say" getting the base section of the second head done.
Both are made from 12 segments of 3mm MDF.

You may spot that the head that was on the left yesterday is now on the right.
The new one I made today is on the left barrel.
I flipped over all of the segments of the first one I made and fitted it on the other side.
The reason is to help make sure that both are every close to being the same.
If there was any major problems the one from the left wouldn't fit on the right (Happy to say it does).

I'll still be shaping the fins later tonight but with a little luck I'll get started on fitting the manifold pipes tomorrow.

I could only wish to have the skills of a Patternmaker, they were true Artisans of the highest calibre!.
Without them there would have been no industrial revolution.
But thanks mate it's a real compliment to be compered to them.
Dave mate please it's to early in the morning and there's just to many jokes!.
It's the cosmic forces telling you to spend more time in the shed making truly wonderful things!
Cheers Guy's

Not a great lot done today as I needed to take some time and go to my top secret Art Supply Shop to pick up some things I needed!.
I'm going to say it's not like the good old days at Aroundagain in Mildura.
This is shall we say a little more hands on!.
IMG_8825.jpg
At the end of the day pretty much all the raw materials I need are in there somewhere!.
Since I've been living down here I've at times thought of just giving up on using recycled stuff and just buy what I need.
But in the end I reckon the fact that this stuff is made from what others throw away is a big part of the enjoyment I get out of it.
So I'll stick to my guns!.
Here's the inlet manifold that I fitted today.
I really took my time to make sure that everything is straight and level.
So far so good.

I found just the pipe I needed for the exhaust's so I'll get stuck into them in the morning.

Trevor, That looks like the sort of dump my dad took me to in the mid1960's - full of rubbish & surprises....
One might have thought that Tassie would have been a leading in recycling ..

It sure is Charlie and I throw some more around today!.
And I would be one of those ones!.
Not sure that the last line sounds the way I meant it to?.
Never mind moving on!.
Well it may not look like much has been done in two days.
But I'm really happy with things so far.
I've made the inlet manifold and started on the upper section of the right cylinder.

All the usual suspects are being incorporated PVC, MDF a couple of washers and a ton of filler.
IMG_8832.jpg IMG_8838.jpg
I'll get all of the fins in place on both of the heads before starting on the rocker supports.
