The Matchless engine used by Brough was the BSX2.
102 of them where fitting into the Brough's and around another 60 or so where used by Morgan.
As you'd know the Morgan's where the same by the detail of their appearance is different as they where water jacketed.
In the brilliant book you gave me a loan of there is no reference drawings to the Matchless engine.
Tons of the J.A.P's though.
I'm thinking the problem were up against is that the Matchless was specifically made for Brough.
Then with the war starting so after the production run it all came to a screaming halt!.
I've spent "I don't wont to know" how many hours searching online to find photos of the engine's detail.
Pretty much googled myself stupid over it!.
Still where there's a will, and that's not lacking at this stage!. :2tsup:
