    Trevor,

    Just a suggestion.
If you place a mirror in just the right place on the crankcase.
You may only have to make one cylinder.
Just a stupid dumb thought with nothing better to think about for myself.

    Trev,

Been a way for a couple of days. Gee you have done some miraculous work and all with the limited amount of tools you have. A true testimony to your skills. FANTASTIC - BRILLIANT

The head fins are looking great.

By the way Trev I have now padlocked all my storage bins as I don't want any more nightmares

Kicked on fairly well today getting the rest of the fins finished, and a pretty good start on the second of the rocker supports.
The free standing fins in front of the exhaust valve where pretty much a nightmare (and I don't mean one of Dalboy's either) to get into place.
I had to position and shape the first three before doing the next two.
That's because they form an arch and with the 3rd fin being the shortest the next two stop you from being able to shape it.

With a ton of messing around I got them done and painted.

I got the basic shape of the second rocker support done enough that I could sit in position to get a look at how things where going.

There's still one small fin to be made it will go on the end of the rocker support next to the exhaust valve.
I'll make that after the support is finished and in place.

I should be able to finish the cylinder up tomorrow, then it's back to the start and build the second one.

    Cheers
    Trev.

    First cylinder finished!.

Pretty happy with the way it's come up.
All of the fins as specially those on the head made for an interesting challenge.

    IMG_8497.jpg IMG_8467.jpg IMG_8471.jpg

Hopefully I'll be able to get the second cylinder done quicker.
The bottom half will be the same but the head needs to be made as a mirror image of the first.

You got my vote on those fins. Not that im using a pixel counter to compare size or snap to see if they are straight

Spent pretty much all day on the bandsaw, I got a ton done.
All of the lateral fins for the second cylinder are cut.

    IMG_8522.jpg IMG_8523.jpg

The bottom section (that's the eleven fins counting up from the base) have all been tapered.
The fins on the top section are only rough cut and still need a lot of work.

I should be able to get them all glued up tomorrow with a little luck.

    Cheers
    Trev.
