Got the first of the barrel's quite a bit further along today.
Most of the time was taken up with sanding the taper on each of the fins.

I'll glue it all up tonight.
Tomorrow I'll finish off some shaping details around the pushrod recess's.
Then cut and fit the lower section of the barrel and add the base plate.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Ah Ha, the build is officially under way.
I wonder how long before the can of body filler gets a workout?

Keep up the good work Trev.

Not much point mate it wont be far enough along by then to be looking like much.

I would ask though if anyone going to the GTG has any off cuts of PVC pipe ranching in size from 100mm right down to the size of drinking strew it
    would be greatly appreciated!.
Stuff like that is proving to be a little hard to find down here at the moment.

I got to through around some bodyfiller and house paint today.
The fins and cylinder sections are glued up and I've given them two coats of paint to fill in the joints.
The excess paint will be sanded off tomorrow before giving it all a spray of primer.

    IMG_8238.jpg IMG_8239.jpg

I'd under cut one of the fins and needed to shape it back out to get the alignment right.
The piece I've added on is marked with the arrow.

    IMG_8241.jpg IMG_8244.jpg

On the cylinders of the Brough there's a raised mound on the back for the base plate.
I have no idea why it's there but I've formed it out of bodyfiller.
