Instead of the Brough - turn a Blue wren sitting on a brough - pun intended.

Hope all had a great day.

Gee Trev you have been a busy boy today. Your work look immaculate - as always

Tell ya what Cowboy I'd love to see if you could do it on a lathe.
But I'm going to say I don't think you can "Challenge".
There's only 3mm between each of the 11 fins and each is tapered to not much more than 1mm on the leading edge.

If you'd like to have a try at it I'll draw up some plans for you to go by.
But please wear eye protection because I reckon there'll be bits flying off everywhere!.

    Now Trevor,

I know all about your stash of 'toys'. It's not my fault you chose to make them 2/3 their proper size.
And stop complaining about that damned skateboard.. whoops, I mean...Ho Ho Ho.

Kool we have a skate park on the foreshore.
There's no way I'd either hurt myself or look totally stupid!

    I'll get on it Cowboy.

Dal's right in saying that it can be turned on a wood lathe.
Although the cylinders on the Brough are cast not turned.
Being made from a patternmakers model then sandcast there is a lot of variance between cylinders.
In places their quite asymmetrical it will be interesting to see how that's replicated on a lathe.

That's right the way I use a lathe!.

Here's a not to scale drawing of the cylinder.
I'll be very interested to see how it comes up on a lathe.

    WARNING IMPENDING ANTI LATHE JOKE

I'd like to make it very clear that the next sentence is intended as tongue in check humour and the apparent derogatory fashion in which it represents a woodturning lathe is not be taken seriously by anyone at anytime or for any reason.

You never know I may actually finally find a use for one, other than being a boat anchor!.

    Cheers
