    Default 3 wheel Kart

Here is my latest toy. I got this plan out of a book from the library but I started it so long ago I can't remember the book!

Anyway it is a 3-wheeler around 600mm wide at the back (designed to allow 2 small kids to ride together or one big kid (that being me)) to at least test it out. There is also a piece of ironbark underneath to give it some additional strength for when it gets jumped on and rolled off cliffs, etc! The back wheels are from an old double pram and were a great fit. The seat is made of recycled ironbark floorboards with most of the remainder being 12mm ply.

I still need to put on the rest of the seat and do some jazzing up (probably some red go-fast strips). I don't have a lathe at the moment, otherwise I would have done a better job with the steering handle. Although it is fairly heavy, the steering shaft moves so it can be pulled along.

My partner's grandson will be 2 at the end of January so lucky I started around 3 months ago as I will just be ready.

    cheers

    Mick

Now that's an old school toy!

No brakes. No roll bar. No plastic. No BS! Perfect!

Should be good for a couple of skipped heartbeats.
Too many projects, so little time, even less money!
