G'Day Bret,
That's a great truck!!!!
I know it's not quite the done thing but "re-glue and a couple of 6G screws" would fix it strong enough to stop any more mishaps.
Only you'd know it had a scew underneath and the boys would be back playing, with a little direction "TAKE IT EASY ON THE TRUCK".
