Made the tool chest that sits on the front the other day as well as the bell and front light

I then had to replace the spotlight bulb in my security light and while on the electrics brought and fitted a baton type LED light above the lathe what a difference that has made.

Anyway on to today made 6 mini pizzas and cooked the wife a nice risotto for dinner. Between doing that I managed to make some linking rods and other bits for the running gear and did a test fit to make sure everything was free to move. I need to make up a couple more crank pins before glueing everything into place

Thank you Peter. hope you and all the other woodworkers are keeping safe.

I feel as though I am getting down to the last bits on this build as I have now got the small pieces that can easily be broken to add and then the section of track. And lastly the finish.
The pictures below are showing everything that has now been glued together as you can see the cylinders are clamped while they dry and the light is held with tape while that also dries. All the wheels have been assembled along with the linkages which did not take as long as I expected as everything lined up just right double checking all measurements helped here

    Thank you Keith'

Yesterday I manage to complete the Loco, well I thought I had except for the caps on the front cylinder blacks. Some may have also noted that the roundels with the numbers on it are also missing but that is deliberate and not an oversight like the caps.

WOW Derek what a gorgeous loco sir

    BUT

I beg to differ upon your completion statement!

    Were are the tracks?

    Were are the carriages?

SURE A BEAUTIFUL LOCO DESERVES TRACKS AND CARRIAGES !

    Cheers Peter

    Beautiful work.
    Right on track.
As for the cylinder covers, I can't see much wrong with them.
